Lavagna, Metropolitan City of Genoa

Factory Technical Representative - EMEA.

FULL TIMESALES & MARKETING

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Seakeeper is the global leader in marine stabilization, on a mission to transform the way people experience life on the water. As our Factory Technical Representative, you're the person our customers (OEM boat builders and Seakeeper dealers) network calls first — the friendly, unflappable expert who makes installations click, trainings stick, and problems disappear. You'll be Seakeeper's front line across EMEA, delivering hands-on installation, commissioning, training, and troubleshooting support to our customers. You'll help us build a best-in-class support network by:

  • Planning and executing service interventions start to finish — prepping parts and tools, coordinating shipping logistics, and booking your own travel
  • Completing Seakeeper commissioning reports for every gyro installation
  • Owning Ride OEM integrations and installations from first blueprint to final sea trial
  • Training regional partners so today's installation becomes tomorrow's success story
  • Acting as the go-to technical voice for regional customers, troubleshooting fast and effectively by phone and email
  • Leading full hands-on installations — mechanical, electrical, and everything in between — for demos and training
  • Running sea trials and commissioning while documenting system performance
  • Feeding field insights and customer feedback straight back to engineering to drive continuous improvement
  • Representing Seakeeper with uncompromising standards for safety, quality, and professionalism — you're the brand out in the field
  • Keeping your company vehicles road-ready: scheduled maintenance, a monthly mileage log, and a clean, presentable ride
  • Delivering elevated troubleshooting and dedicated support to Dealers and OEM partners, partnering closely with Product Support and looping in Field Engineering on major component issues
  • Guiding dealers and OEMs on application and configuration, using Seakeeper technical documentation to advise on electrical and plumbing arrangements
  • Coordinating dealer and OEM participation in dedicated service coverage at major events
  • Staying sharp on new and existing product changes with hands-on training at our Tampa, Florida and Lavagna, Italy offices
  • Supporting the Product Support, OEM, and Aftermarket sales teams by fielding incoming inquiries and following up
  • Flagging recurring quality issues or process improvements to the Field Engineering team
  • Documenting the essentials — warranty cases, commissioning cases, installation audits, and sea trials
  • Occasionally step into the spotlight to deliver technical training to OEM partners and Seakeeper Dealers
  • Assisting with warehouse and administrative duties as needed onsite in our Lavagna office:
    • Managing the import/export, material movement, periodic inventory cycle counts
    • Processing orders including warranty, non-warranty, and aftermarket orders
    • Packaging and coordinating shipments and logistics in addition to processing customs paperwork for dispatching
    • Organizing inventory by part number, warranty and aftermarket sales
    • Maintaining supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level

MUST-HAVES

  • Degree from a college, technical institute, or equivalent hands-on work experience
  • 2-3 years of related experience in the marine industry working on a technical product including engines, hydraulics, plant machinery, gyroscopes, or fin systems

  • A constant positive, professional, and customer-centric attitude
  • Proficiency with training and presentation tools, such as Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated, professional, responsive, resourceful, and flexible
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in both English & Italian
  • Superior time management, multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and passport
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and drive extended distances (periodically up to 8-12 hours, commonly 2-4 hours); frequent travel can include some nights and weekends
  • Ability to work in confined areas (such as engine rooms, equipment spaces, and bilges on board various types of marine vessels), including climbing up/down ladders, stooping, bending, lying down, and working in challenging conditions
  • Comfort with remote work — this role comes with a lot of autonomy and minimal supervision

  • Experience with:
    • OEMs or dealers in a factory support role
    • Seakeepers or other gyrostabilizers
    • Seakeeper Ride or other transom mounted stabilization systems (trim tabs, interceptors, etc.)

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT HERE

It’s true that we make extraordinary products, but our favorite part about Seakeeper is our people! We believe in participative leadership. That means you have the freedom to make a difference and contribute to the larger goal, regardless of your position. Great ideas can strike at any moment, and when you have one, you’re empowered to speak up!

We are constantly pushing (or crushing) boundaries. Stagnant or bored are about as opposite from Seakeeper as you can get! We move quick and if there is something that can be improved upon, we jump on it.

WHO WE ARE

71% of our Earth is covered by water and we want everyone to make the most of it. That’s why we are committed to creating products that transform the boating experience with an organization that employees want to work for, customers want to buy from, and vendors want to partner with. Seakeeper Ride, a Vessel Attitude Control System, eliminates underway pitch and roll, making time on the water safer and more comfortable for everyone on board.

Seakeeper was founded in 2008, growing from a start-up operation to the worldwide leader in stabilization thanks to its popular line of gyrostabilizers. Seakeeper Ride launched in 2022 and is the first product deviation from that line, bringing the magic of Seakeeper to boats while underway. There’s a long runway of growth ahead as more and more OEMs adopt Seakeeper Ride as standard equipment and we work to make aftermarket refits a reality.

Ready for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment? Want to help us disrupt an industry? Come on and apply, we are ready for you!
