Axle Energy

France

Commercial - France (CDD).

FULL TIMEREMOTEDEVOPS & INFRA

About Us

At Axle Energy, we’re building the infrastructure that will underpin the decarbonised energy system. Our software moves energy usage to times when electricity is cheap and green, by controlling vehicle charging, heating systems, inverters and home batteries. We control hundreds of thousands of energy assets.

We’re building in a legacy industry and moving gigawatt-hours of electrons in the real world, but we operate at lightning speed, and we’re growing the team to meet customer demand.

We’re proud to be supported by world-leading investors, including Energize Capital and Accel. Read more about what we’re building here.

France is one of the most important flexibility markets in Europe. This role is critical to accelerating Axle’s growth in France.

We’re looking for a commercially sharp, highly autonomous operator to drive Axle’s commercial success in the French market.

This is a role that spans both sales and go to market. You’ll be responsible for both winning new partners (OEMs, utilities, platforms, etc.) and making those partnerships succeed over time.

This is a multifaceted, client-facing role with a strong technical component. You will own the full commercial lifecycle and should be comfortable moving between strategic conversations, commercial negotiations, onboarding and account growth.

You will speak native-level French and fluent English. Other European languages will also be an asset.

This role will own:

  • Winning new business

  • Go-to-market strategy and execution

  • Client onboarding and implementation support

  • Account management and expansion

What you will be doing

  • Owning Axle’s commercial results for the French market (pipeline, revenue and partner success)

  • Building and managing a strong pipeline of partners across key segments (OEMs, energy retailers, installers, platforms, etc.)

  • Owning new customer acquisition end-to-end, from first conversation through to commercial close, setting our partners up to generate meaningful revenue

  • Driving go-to-market execution with partners, including value propositions, pricing considerations, customer segmentation and launch strategies

  • Managing post-implementation relationships with clients after go-live, driving continuous improvement and opportunity to deepen engagement or grow the account

  • Acting as a conduit between partners and engineering teams creating fast, structured feedback loops that help translate field insights into meaningful product enhancements

  • Building and refine scalable sales and partner processes that support repeatable growth across different customer segments

  • Tracking performance, pipeline, and outcomes, using data to prioritise effort and continuously improve commercial effectiveness

  • Operating with low structure and high ownership: remove friction, avoid bureaucracy, move fast

What’s in it for you

This is a 12 month fixed-term contract. Compensation is highly competitive and dependent on experience.

We operate with a deliberately flat structure and aim to keep pay equitable across the company, with a 1:1 median ratio between founder and team compensation.

Bi-annual retreats to strengthen team connection & shared purpose.

You’ll be based in France. To maximise collaboration, we ask that you spend ~1 week per month working from our London office.

The opportunity to directly shape the future of energy markets and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon world.

We are extremely keen to build a diverse team, and we’re particularly eager to hear from candidates who don't fit the traditional role stereotypes. If you’re motivated by our mission, please do reach out, even if you feel you might not ‘check all the boxes’.
