The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Improve the quality and dependability of AI-driven software through structured testing and new feature development. Take promising experiments from prototype to maintained production code, collaborating with customers, researchers and domain specialists.
What you'll do
- Find where automated AI systems fall short, then design and run evaluations to make them more dependable and efficient.
- Build new capabilities for AI systems, including tool integrations, context handling, memory and multi-step workflows.
- Analyze logs and experiment results to locate bottlenecks and separate genuine gains from measurement noise.
- Work with customers and subject-matter experts to understand needs, then ship and maintain fixes end to end, typically within about 3 months.
- Convert successful experiments into clean, maintainable production software.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Solid background shipping and running live software in Python and a typed JavaScript language.
- Practical exposure to LLM-powered systems, including how they are coordinated, observed and served at scale.
- Comfort speaking directly with customers to clarify needs and deliver working technical answers.
- Prior time at a demanding technology company or an AI startup.
- A bachelor's-level technical degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field from a highly regarded school.
- Clear communicator with good customer instincts and a knack for pinpointing the heart of vague technical problems.
- Independent, driven and creative, with a sense of ownership and sound product instincts.
Bonus points
- Curiosity about or exposure to chip design, semiconductors or hardware-software systems.

- Base salary: USD 180,000 to 350,000 per year
