FULL TIMEON-SITEPEOPLE & OPS

Continuous Improvement Deployment Manager (known internally as IWS Deployment Manager)
Billingham (Home of McCoys, Wheat Crunchies, POM-BEAR, and more…)
On-site

Join our snack-loving team
We’re looking for an IWS Deployment Manager to join us at KP Snacks. If you’re ready to bring your ideas to the table, grow your skills and be part of a team that values what makes you, you – this could be your next big move.

Who are we?
We’re KP Snacks, part of the Intersnack family. Across more than 30 countries, over 15,000 of us work together to make the snacks people love – from Hula Hoops to McCoy’s. In the UK, we’re a team of around 2,400 colleagues, based across seven sites and our Slough HQ. We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.

About the role

At KP Snacks, we use the Intersnack Work System (IWS), a proven approach that helps us continuously improve the way we work. By reducing losses, eliminating waste and sharing best practice, IWS empowers colleagues to take ownership, make decisions and drive better performance, helping us create more happy snacking moments every day.

As our IWS Deployment Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting our Billingham site on its journey towards world-class manufacturing.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll work closely with Pillar Leads, leaders and frontline colleagues to embed a culture of continuous improvement, ownership and operational excellence. You'll help teams identify opportunities, solve problems at their root cause and implement sustainable improvements that deliver lasting results.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you'll spend time on the shop floor coaching and developing colleagues, building capability and challenging established ways of working. By helping leaders and teams embrace continuous improvement, you'll play an important part in delivering our site ambitions and creating a culture where everyone is empowered to succeed.

If you're passionate about developing people, leading change and delivering meaningful business improvements, we'd love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you?
We believe in rewarding our colleagues and helping them thrive. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:

  • Competitive annual salary, annual salary review and annual bonus opportunity (target 5%)

  • KP Pension Plan with up to 7% matched contributions

  • 25 days holiday, with the option to buy up to five additional days, plus additional holiday after five years’ service

  • Comprehensive healthcare including Single Cover Private Healthcare, Health Cash Plan, Digital GP and Employee Assistance Programme

  • Electric Vehicle Car Scheme, supporting more sustainable and cost-effective travel

  • KP4ME benefits platform with discounts, cashback and wellbeing support

  • Enhanced family-friendly policies to support colleagues at every stage of life

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the deployment of IWS across the site, coaching line teams and pillar owners through each stage of the journey to improve performance, capability and engagement

  • Building a culture of continuous improvement, acting as a change champion and embedding Lean, Six Sigma and IWS principles into everyday ways of working

  • Driving loss elimination and operational excellence, using data and structured problem-solving techniques to identify opportunities and deliver sustainable improvements

  • Coaching and developing leaders and colleagues, helping teams effectively use Daily Management Systems, Daily Direction Setting and other continuous improvement tools

  • Aligning improvement activity to site priorities, ensuring all initiatives support the Site OGSM, Compelling Business Need (CBN) and key performance objectives

  • Supporting long-term capability building, creating an environment where teams take ownership, solve problems independently and continuously seek better ways of working

We’d love to hear from you if you can bring:

  • Engineering qualification or manufacturing expertise, preferably educated to degree level in Engineering or with significant experience in a manufacturing environment, bringing a strong understanding of operational processes and continuous improvement principles

  • Continuous Improvement expertise, with experience deploying IWS, Lean, TPM, Operational Excellence or similar programmes within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels and build capability across teams

  • A passion for driving change, with experience embedding new ways of working and creating lasting behavioural change

  • Analytical problem-solving skills, using data, trends and loss analysis to identify opportunities and drive improvement

  • Resilience and ownership, with the energy and determination to challenge the status quo and deliver results

  • A hands-on approach, enjoying time on the shop floor where improvements are identified, implemented and sustained

Our purpose
At KP Snacks, we're passionate about creating happy snacking moments through our great tasting snacks and iconic brands. Every day, millions of people enjoy our products, including Hula Hoops, McCoy's, KP Nuts, Tyrrells, Skips, POM-BEAR and Butterkist, making us one of the UK's leading snack manufacturers.

For decades, we've been delighting consumers by combining well-loved favourites with exciting innovations that reflect changing tastes and expectations. We're equally passionate about our people and committed to creating a workplace where everyone can grow, develop and make a real impact.

As part of the Intersnack Group, one of the world's leading snack manufacturers, we combine global expertise with a shared commitment to creating happy snacking moments every day.

We’re committed to inclusion
We’re building a workplace where everyone belongs. If you don’t tick every box, we’d still love to hear from you – your unique perspective could be just what we need. And if there’s anything we can do to make the process easier for you, just let us know.
