What You'll Do As a Collections Representative, you'll help members navigate financial challenges while protecting the financial health of the credit union. You'll be responsible for managing delinquent accounts and finding solutions that benefit both our members and the organization. Key responsibilities include: Contacting members regarding delinquent accounts and working toward successful resolution Managing consumer loan, credit card, negative share, and small commercial collection accounts Maintaining accurate collection records and documentation Applying state and federal regulations related to collections, bankruptcy, foreclosure, repossessions, and consumer protection Partnering with attorneys, repossession vendors, and external collection agencies when appropriate Making recommendations regarding repossessions, charge-offs, and collection strategies Delivering exceptional member service while meeting performance and quality goals Supporting department reporting and operational initiatives What Makes Someone Successful in This Role We're looking for individuals who: Communicate confidently and professionally Enjoy problem solving and negotiating solutions Are self-motivated and goal oriented Balance member empathy with sound business judgment Thrive in a fast-paced environment Can work independently while staying accountable to performance goals What We Offer Starting pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour Remote work environment after training Comprehensive benefits package Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for career growth and advancement Supportive team environment focused on member service and success What You'll Bring Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
