NPI Project Manager.

FULL TIMEENGINEERING

About the job

ScioTeq, a leading brand in high performance, high quality rugged displays and computers, has been serving the defense and security community around the world for over 35 years.  Today’s military requires leading edge computing and display capabilities in all their vehicles.  ScioTeq products are designed to not only meet high tech performance requirements but also survive incredibly harsh and extreme environments.

ScioTeq offers a small company feel while projecting a big company presence.  Our engineering work is very hands-on and collaborative as we design, prototype, test, and industrialize computing products for a variety of applications and customers.  We are expanding our engineering team and are looking for an experienced project manager who can join our team in Duluth, Georgia.   If you have strong project management abilities and the interpersonal skills needed to effectively coordinate and support our product development activities, then read on.

NPI Project Manager

ScioTeq develops rugged smart displays and computing solutions that deliver high-performance computing and video processing in demanding military and defense environments. Designed and manufactured under a structured New Product Introduction (NPI) process and company-wide quality management system, our products are built to comply with stringent MIL-STD and EN military specifications.

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in guiding these customer-specific projects from concept through delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams across Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, creative problem-solving, and the ability to balance technical, commercial, and operational priorities to achieve customer satisfaction. The NPI Project Manager has the following main responsibilities:

Manage product development and customer projects, coordinating team objectives and activities through each stage gate of the NPI process.

·       Facilitate the planning process within the team to produce a development plan to meet technical, schedule, and cost requirements.

·       Coordinate new product and product configuration launches with Operations, Customer Service, Product Management and Sales

·       Track project progress coordinating with Engineering leadership to set priorities and apply resources efficiently

·       Facilitate technical design decisions, conflict resolution, and effective communication between all functions involved in the project.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline

·       5+ years of project management experience in a product development or manufacturing environment.  Computer, defense, or electronics market segments preferred.

·       PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management credential is preferred but not required.

·       Experience leading cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from requirements definition through delivery.

·       Strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and product development methodologies.

·       Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and customer expectations.

·       Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including customer-facing experience.

·       Experience coordinating activities across Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams.

·       Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in technically complex environments.

·       Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.

·       Experience working within ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems.

·       US Person required
