Working across a range of projects, you will create high-quality technical designs and drawings that enable the safe, efficient manufacture, installation and operation of complex systems. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise while contributing to the advancement of fusion energy.

  • Apply relevant UK, European and international standards to ensure compliant design deliverables.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop integrated electrical and mechanical design solutions.
  • Administer CAD, PDM/PLM and related systems to support effective documentation workflows.
  • Review and release drawings to ensure they meet UKAEA quality requirements.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to colleagues in the production of electrical documentation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience using AutoCAD and/or electrical CAD software to create electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience using PDM/PLM systems or equivalent document and configuration management tools.
  • Demonstrable experience producing technical drawings to recognised UK and European standards, including electrical documentation standards.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation that supports manufacture, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance activities.
  • Experience providing technical guidance or knowledge transfer relating to electrical drafting and documentation.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and experience using SharePoint.
