What You Can Expect This internship provides hands-on lab and production experience, mentorship from industry experts, and the opportunity to contribute to the next generation of products. Interns will work closely with engineering and production teams and spend significant time on the manufacturing floor. · Structured, project-based program focusing on skill set growth, technology and systems knowledge, business acumen, and professional development · Regular coaching and feedback sessions with mentors and supervisors · Leadership opportunities through activities and presentations · Connect with leadership team through various events · Exposure to other Apogee locations and business units · Partner with other interns through projects, community events, and social activities What You’ll Do · Work alongside quality, engineering, and production teams on real projects. · Spend time on the manufacturing floor learning processes, equipment, and operations. · Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. · Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues. · Collect and analyze production data. · Support process improvement, equipment, tooling, and layout projects. · Assist with time studies, process documentation, and work instructions. · Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. · Help implement engineering solutions and see projects through to completion. What We’re Looking For · Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at a four year college or university in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field. · Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing at the time of the internship. · Minimum 3.0 GPA. · Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work. · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. · Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams. · Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and spending time on the production floor. · Strong communication and organizational skills. · Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.
