We’re seeking a skilled, motivated, and detail‑driven Pastry Chef de Partie to join the Gilpin Spice brigade. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the pastry section, preparing vibrant, flavour‑forward desserts with accuracy, consistency, and pride. You’ll work closely with senior chefs to maintain high standards, contribute to dessert development, and uphold the organisation and discipline that define the Spice kitchen.
🍰Your Role as Chef De Partie:
Manages and operates the pastry section to an exceptional standard, ensuring readiness, organisation, and consistency throughout service.
Prepares, cooks, and presents desserts with precision, delivering Gilpin Spice’s bold, pan‑Asian culinary style.
Works closely with senior chefs to support dessert development, daily prep, and smooth kitchen operations.
Trains, guide, and supports junior chefs, helping build skill, confidence, and professional growth within the brigade.
Contributes to a calm, disciplined, and collaborative working environment, even within a lively open‑kitchen setting.
Upholds the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, organisation, and presentation at all times.
Collaborates with the wider restaurant team to ensure smooth, efficient service and a memorable guest experience.
