Black Belt Process Improvement.

FULL TIMEREMOTE

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Black Belt Process Improvement professional based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced Black Belt Process Improvement professional to drive operational excellence and deliver measurable business improvements across complex, cross-functional processes. In this role, you will lead process optimization initiatives, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions that improve productivity, quality, and turnaround times. You will work across business operations and IT functions, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks. Using Six Sigma methodologies, value stream mapping, and data-driven analysis, you will identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements. You will also oversee a portfolio of improvement initiatives, establish performance metrics, and strengthen quality controls. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a proactive, independent leader who enjoys driving change and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end process improvement initiatives across business operations and IT functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Map and analyze current-state and future-state processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop comprehensive value stream maps to identify demand, delivery challenges, and delays at every stage of the process.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce turnaround times (TAT) and improve operational efficiency, including across upstream and downstream teams and external partners.
  • Establish and implement performance metrics, measurement frameworks, and quality controls to monitor process effectiveness and improvement outcomes.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis using quantitative performance data, stakeholder feedback, and qualitative observations to identify underlying issues.
  • Develop, prioritize, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions and sustainable process improvements.
  • Manage a portfolio of improvement initiatives and related projects, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery of measurable results.
  • Produce standard Six Sigma deliverables, including current-state and future-state process maps, gap analyses, and improvement recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to influence process changes, overcome operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Train and guide teams on established processes, improvement methodologies, and quality standards to support consistent execution.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, challenge existing practices, and maintain momentum throughout transformation initiatives.
  • Requirements:

  • Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification in Six Sigma is required.
  • Strong experience leading process improvement, operational excellence, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and optimizing processes that support business operations and IT solutions.
  • Proven ability to perform end-to-end process mapping, including current-state and future-state analysis, gap assessments, and value stream mapping.
  • Experience identifying process inefficiencies, analyzing delivery bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to reduce turnaround times.
  • Strong knowledge of performance measurement, KPI development, metrics implementation, and quality control frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience facilitating root cause analysis using data-driven insights and qualitative stakeholder discussions.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple improvement initiatives and oversee implementation from planning through execution.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and drive projects forward without requiring constant direction.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly in matrixed environments where collaboration and alignment across teams are essential.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities, with the confidence to challenge existing processes and encourage constructive change.
  • Experience training teams and supporting the adoption of standardized processes and continuous improvement practices.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset, with strong analytical thinking and a passion for driving meaningful operational change.
  • Benefits:

  • Work arrangement: 100% remote position within the United States.
  • Contract duration: Initial engagement of 7 months.
  • Career development: Opportunities to lead high-impact process transformation and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Professional growth: Exposure to enterprise-wide business processes, IT solutions, and cross-functional improvement programs.
  • Employee perks: Access to employee discounts.
  • Career flexibility: Opportunities for professional development and continued career growth.
  • Work environment: Remote collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders across business and technology functions.
