Healthcare Analytics QA Lead – Value-Based Care Platform.

FULL TIMEREMOTESENIOR LEVELQA

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Healthcare Analytics QA Lead – Value-Based Care Platform based in the United States.

The Healthcare Analytics QA Lead will oversee end-to-end quality assurance for a healthcare analytics platform integrating clinical, claims, and payer data to support value-based care initiatives. This hands-on leadership role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of operational dashboards and financial reporting. The successful candidate will take ownership of testing strategies, data validation, financial reconciliation, and client user acceptance testing (UAT). Working closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and healthcare clients, they will identify defects, manage resolution processes, and ensure platform readiness for deployment. A key priority will be validating financial metrics against source claims data, with a strict reconciliation accuracy target of ±3%. This is an opportunity to contribute to a major healthcare analytics implementation within a collaborative, data-driven environment.

Accountabilities:

    • Own and coordinate the overall quality assurance strategy for a healthcare Contract Performance Analytics Platform built on Exasol and Tableau.

    • Review, develop, and execute test cases and scripts in JIRA, ensuring full traceability to business and technical requirements.

    • Define and execute financial reconciliation testing to validate total cost of care, per-member-per-month (PMPM) calculations, benchmarks, and projections against source claims data, maintaining an accuracy threshold of ±3%.

    • Validate data pipelines, database transformations, and Tableau dashboards to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and correct filter functionality.

    • Independently trace dashboard metrics and reported figures through data transformations back to their original claims and clinical data sources.

    • Lead internal testing activities and coordinate client-facing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, kickoff meetings, execution, and reporting.

    • Validate role-based access controls, restricted data sets, and protected health information (PHI) audit logging to support data security and compliance requirements.

    • Coordinate UAT participants, monitor testing progress, and ensure issues are documented, prioritized, and resolved efficiently.

    • Lead defect triage activities, track corrective actions, and maintain a 72-hour defect turnaround standard.

    • Identify critical issues and testing blockers, escalating risks promptly to project management and leadership teams.

    • Monitor and report test execution progress, defect trends, reconciliation results, and overall quality metrics.

    • Provide regular go-live readiness assessments and clear recommendations to the Project Management Office (PMO).

    • Support key project milestones, including the planned beta release and client UAT in January 2027, followed by the full minimum viable product (MVP) launch targeted for March 1, 2027.

    • Requirements:

      • At least 5 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or software/data testing, including a minimum of 2 years leading testing activities for data analytics or Business Intelligence (BI) projects.

      • Previous experience working with healthcare data, particularly claims, eligibility, payer, or Electronic Health Record (EHR) data.

      • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to independently query, validate, reconcile, and investigate complex datasets.

      • Demonstrated experience developing and executing test cases, validating data transformations, and identifying discrepancies between source data and reporting outputs.

      • Hands-on experience managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating client testers, and overseeing defect resolution.

      • Experience using JIRA or comparable tools for test management, defect tracking, and requirements traceability.

      • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.

      • Strong understanding of healthcare analytics, data quality principles, and financial reconciliation methodologies.

      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, numbers-driven approach to quality assurance.

      • Ability to independently trace dashboard metrics through complex data pipelines and transformations to underlying source records.

      • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical testing results, defects, and project risks into actionable recommendations for leadership.

      • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain strict testing timelines, and enforce established defect resolution standards.

      • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams, healthcare stakeholders, and external clients.

      • Preferred Qualifications:

        • Experience with value-based care analytics, particularly Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Medicare Advantage, and total cost of care reporting.

        • Previous experience testing Tableau dashboards and validating business intelligence reporting.

        • Familiarity with Exasol or comparable analytical database platforms.

        • Knowledge of healthcare quality measurement frameworks, including HEDIS and electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs).

        • Experience supporting healthcare analytics implementations involving multiple data sources, including clinical, claims, and payer information.

        • Benefits:

          • Competitive compensation: Attractive contract compensation aligned with experience and qualifications.

          • Healthcare coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits.

          • Retirement planning: Access to a 401(k) retirement savings plan.

          • Remote flexibility: Primarily remote working arrangement within the United States.

          • Limited travel: Occasional onsite presence, with travel requirements of up to 15%.

          • Contract opportunity: Full-time engagement starting as soon as possible and running through March 2027, with the possibility of extension.

          • Professional environment: Opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive team culture.

          • Meaningful impact: Contribute to a healthcare analytics platform supporting value-based care contracts, financial performance monitoring, and healthcare operational decision-making.
