Lending Manager (Front End).

FULL TIMEREMOTEENGINEERING$90K–100K/MO

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lending Manager (Front End) based in the United States.

This is an opportunity for an experienced mortgage operations leader to manage and develop a fully remote team of Loan Assistants. You will oversee the bridge loan process from initial setup and disclosure through submission and post-closing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of customer service. Working closely with lending operations leadership and cross-functional partners, you will strengthen workflows, improve team performance, and help maintain consistent service levels. The role combines hands-on pipeline oversight with coaching, team development, and process improvement. You will also help shape operational best practices in a collaborative, technology-focused, remote-first environment.

Accountabilities

    • Lead, manage, and scale a distributed team of Loan Assistants, setting clear expectations and holding team members accountable for performance and results.

    • Communicate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals, and monitor progress against team and company objectives.

    • Build an engaged remote team through regular one-on-one meetings, team sessions, virtual training, mentoring, and ongoing feedback.

    • Serve as a point of contact for escalations, questions, and exceptions, while documenting relevant team conversations and supporting individual development.

    • Oversee the bridge loan pipeline from setup and initial disclosure through submission and post-closing, ensuring work is completed accurately and within established service-level agreements.

    • Balance workloads, coach team members through pipeline challenges, support post-closing reviews, and coordinate the resolution of loan findings.

    • Partner with Sales, Underwriting, Closing, and Lending Operations to deliver timely and accurate service.

    • Compile quarterly team scorecards and monitor key performance indicators and quality metrics.

    • Identify gaps in processes and policies, develop or update standard operating procedures, and support their review, training, implementation, and ongoing adoption.

    • Establish best practices, improve workflows, contribute to operational projects, and provide hands-on support wherever needed.

    • Requirements:

      • At least 10 years of relevant mortgage industry experience, including 5 or more years directly managing a fully remote team.

      • Experience leading mortgage loan processing and/or post-closing teams.

      • Demonstrated success coaching, mentoring, and developing teams while maintaining accountability and strong performance.

      • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local mortgage regulatory and compliance requirements.

      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence leading virtual meetings and training sessions.

      • Ability to keep a geographically distributed team aligned and engaged using collaboration tools such as Slack and video conferencing platforms.

      • Strong customer-service orientation, with a commitment to delivering accurate, responsive, and high-quality support.

      • Excellent attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy and quality.

      • Experience writing or updating standard operating procedures, policies, and process documentation.

      • Commitment to inclusive leadership and practices that support diverse, equitable, and respectful teams.

      • High school diploma or equivalent practical experience.

      • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role, including regular computer use and communication by telephone and video applications, with or without reasonable accommodation.

      • Benefits:

        • Salary: $90,000–$100,000 USD, plus eligibility for a company incentive plan (bonus).

        • Remote-first flexibility: 100% remote work for U.S.-based employees.

        • Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees, effective from the first day of employment.

        • Flexible paid time off for full-time employees.

        • Paid parental leave: 12 weeks for birthing parents and 6 weeks for non-birthing parents.

        • Professional development: $1,000 annual allowance.

        • Insurance protection: Life, AD&D, and disability insurance for full-time employees.

        • Retirement savings: 401(k) plan available to all employees; employer contributions are not provided.

        • Health and wellness: $75 monthly allowance.

        • Coworking support: Up to $400 per month for eligible employees.

        • Connectivity allowance: $100 per month toward home internet, mobile phone, or other communication devices.

        • Referral incentive: $2,500 bonus for eligible employee referrals.

        • Collaborative, inclusive culture focused on learning, innovation, personal impact, and continuous improvement.
