INTERNSHIPINTERNDEVOPS & INFRA
Introduction Within ASML’s Manufacturing and Supply Chain environment in Veldhoven, you will contribute to improving transparency in Make & Install costs across a highly complex operational landscape. This Industrial Engineering | Systems Engineering internship: make & install cost modeling sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, finance, and program management. You will help develop a high-level cost model that explains how operational cost drivers influence overall Make & Install costs and supports fact-based decision-making. The outcome of this internship will help teams understand where improvement efforts create the greatest impact. If you enjoy connecting data, systems thinking, and stakeholder perspectives, this internship offers an opportunity to make a visible contribution. Your assignment During this internship, you will develop and validate a high-level model that creates transparency between cost drivers, cost categories, and total Make & Install costs. You will work with stakeholders from multiple departments and translate complex information into actionable insights and visualizations. The goal is to enable both forward-looking cost impact assessments and backward target-setting from overall cost objectives. Your main responsibilities will be: Develop a high-level cost model linking key cost drivers, cost categories, and total Make & Install costs. Analyze available data to determine model inputs, parameters, and assumptions. Quantify how changes in operational drivers influence overall costs. Translate overall cost targets into practical driver-level targets for stakeholders. Create intuitive visualizations and reporting concepts that explain model logic. Validate the model through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and logical testing. Present recommendations for future use, governance, and further development of the model. This is a bachelor/master non-thesis internship for minimum 6 months, for minimum 4 days per week (hybrid). The start date of this internship is as of February 2027.
