What You'll Do As a Radiation Therapist, you will play an important role in delivering safe, precise radiation treatments while helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their care. Responsibilities include: Administer prescribed radiation treatments using specialized radiation therapy equipment. Accurately position patients to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery. Operate radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established safety and quality standards. Monitor patients during treatment and promptly communicate concerns or adverse reactions to the clinical team. Educate and support patients and their families throughout the treatment process. Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Dosimetrists, and other members of the care team on treatment planning and delivery. Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation. Follow radiation safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field. ARRT certification or equivalent credential. Texas State licensure Strong technical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a clinical radiation therapy setting. Experience with radiation therapy techniques such as IMRT, SBRT, and brachytherapy. Experience working with electronic medical record systems. Work Environment This position works in an outpatient radiation oncology setting with treatments provided weekdays only. The role requires standing for extended periods and assisting patients with mobility needs. Radiation Therapists are expected to consistently follow established radiation safety and protection protocols.
